My name is Nikki Scanlon. I’ve been a professional designer over the past eight years. I am an avid reader, writer and technology enthusiast as well. I also love walking my little pup when I decide to stay away from work and tech.
I am an Apple advocate, though I spent quite a few years with my Windows PC, before switching to Mac since 2009. At home I use a 27-inch 2009 iMac, still! At work, I use a mid-2015 27″ iMac with Retina 5K display, absolutely amazing!
The reason I like Apple products is simple — awesome usability. I am the kind of person who firmly believes technology would make our lives better, and I am willing to spend a bit more to get a dynamic yet easy-to-use computer, for the sake of saving headaches that I suffered in the PC age.
Why This Blog
Over the past years I saw many of my friends and colleagues starting to use iMacs. However, some of them often complained their Macs running slow and I found that most of the time it was because they were not taking good care of their iMacs as they should do. With the passage of time, the Mac performance began to decline.
I felt that it might be a good idea to start a blog and share the tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way to tune up iMac performance. That’s why this site was born.
I hope you like the things I share here. I’ll try to write more once I can squeeze more time from my routine work.
